S is for Self-Care

Most of us already know what supports health: 
steady blood sugar, more fibre, consistent movement, whole foods, hydration, good sleep, time outdoors… and so on.

So why does it still feel difficult to follow through?

Often, the missing link is Self-Care 🫶

 

Long-term habits offer a sense of safety to an overloaded nervous system. Change can feel insecure at a subconscious level, which is why many people revert to familiar patterns even with the knowledge, understanding, and desire to do differently.

 

When the nervous system is overwhelmed, even the best intentions feel unrealistic. But when we begin by regulating stress and creating internal space, everything else becomes more accessible. 

 

Self-care creates the space needed to make choices that support growth, including lifestyle choices. 

With each small step in the right direction, we feel better. Feeling better builds confidence. And confidence creates momentum.

It expands our capacity for growth. It energises you to implement and sustain change.
